Branding and Design Assistant – Aspire Industrial Services Ltd
Location: Hillington, Glasgow
Contract: 30-hour flex contract (up to 40 hours per week)
Working Pattern:
- Standard Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
- Christmas Closure: Aspire Industrial Services closes for two weeks during the Christmas period.

The Role:
We are looking for a proactive and creative Branding and Design Assistant with a passion for design and garment branding. You will be responsible for creating high-quality designs that will convert to high-quality branding, ensuring consistency and precision. Your role will involve creating vectorised artwork for print and embroidery, collaborating with the branding team to produce embroidery, screen print, and vinyl print designs while maintaining high standards of productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Branding:
- Create and develop high-quality designs that seamlessly convert to high-quality branding on uniforms and workwear.
- Produce vectorised artwork specifically for print and embroidery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Prepare and adapt designs for embroidery, screen print, and vinyl print, maintaining consistency across different branding methods.
- Take a design-to-garment approach, working closely with production to ensure accurate application.
Production Support:
- Assist in operating embroidery machines, vinyl cutters, and screen-printing equipment as needed.
- Quality check finished garments to ensure brand standards are met.
- Proactively maintain a clean and organised branding workspace.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:
- Work closely with the branding team to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Support team members by sharing best practices and offering guidance on design and production techniques.
- Drive efficiency and inspire the team with a hands-on, positive approach.
Customer & Client Interaction:
- Liaise with internal teams and occasionally with clients to understand branding requirements and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Provide creative input for new branding projects, bringing fresh ideas to enhance our offering.
Skills and Experience:
- Essential:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and other design software.
- Experience in creating vectorised artwork for print and embroidery.
- Experience with embroidery, vinyl printing, and screen printing.
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong eye for design aesthetics.
- Ability to translate digital designs to physical garments accurately.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive attitude and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
